Mr Jan Simunek has been appointed the general manager of the Romanian office of PR firm MMD. Mr Simunek is a public affairs specialist with experience in providing counsel on government relations, supporting foreign direct investment, privatisations, IPO and mergers & acquisitions. Mr Florin Pogonaru has been appointed as the fifth representative of Erste Bank in the supervisory board of BCR. He will take the place of Daniel Daianu, who quit last year to avoid conflicts of interest due to his new status as a member of the European Parliament. Mr Pogonaru is president of the Romanian Businessmen’s Association. Mr Florin-Ovidiu Dobleaga has been appointed the chief of the Department Against Fraud (DLAF), which targets fraudulent activity using European funds. Mr Andrei Mihailov has been appointed general manager of agricultural equipment firm MYO-O, replacing Mr Cristian Candet. Mr Mihailov was previously marketing manager of MYO-O between 2005 and 2008, where he assisted in the market launch of tractor producer Rombel Traktor. Mr Sorin Mindrutescu has taken on the role of director general of Oracle Romania, replacing Mr Stefan Cojanu, who continues working for the company for the east European and CIS regions in the field of education. Mr Laurentiu Visan has been appointed branch manager for the Portuguese bank Finicredito pentru Romania. Mr Jack Mikaloff is the new president of UPC Romania. He has worked for UPC for ten years and, until 2006, was the president of UPC France. Outgoing president Richard Anderson will focus on mergers and aquisitions for UPC parent company Liberty Global in central and eastern Europe. Mr Mahendra Bharadwaj has been appointed as the new CEO of Cluj-Napoca based and Indian-owned pharma producer and brand Terapia Ranbaxy. |
