The 130 million Euro Petrom City will cover 100,000 sqm and include five buildings, among which are two office buildings, a data centre and an electric energy and heat co-generation power station, which will ensure energy independence for the complex.
“The idea of developing Petrom City came from the wish to offer Petrom employees a unique headquarters, able to correspond to the needs of a company in full transformation process: communication, flexibility, transparency, the increase of the business synergies and the insurance of a high energy efficiency,” general manager of Petrom, Mariana Gheorghe, told The Diplomat.
Facilities include a medical centre, a training centre and 1,000 parking spaces. The complex was built according to a concept called ‘environmental branding’, which increases the energy efficiency to 90 per cent, against an average of 40 to 60 per cent in most recently-built office buildings.
“The entire Petrom City complex, the architecture, the spaces, the working environment, the relaxation areas, the training centre, the furniture and the internal branding elements were specially designed to support the values of the company and ensure the best working conditions,” said Gheorghe.
