Property sales flat compared to 2009

NATIONWIDE Real estate transaction numbers in Romania increased by only three per cent in the first half of 2010 compared to the first half of 2009 to 271,700, according to the National Agency of Land Registration (ANCPI).
In the first half of 2010, 8,000 more real estate transactions were closed in the country than in the first half of 2009.
Bucharest ranks first in terms of real estate transactions closed in June, with 4,544 transactions, followed by Timis, Ilfov and Constanta counties.
The lowest number of real estate transactions was registered in Bistrita Nasaud (539), Salaj (517), Olt (397), Teleorman (322), Tulcea (68) and Calarasi (87).
