Reports: Ikea in talks for new southeast site

BLVD THEODOR PALLADY Sweden’s Ikea Group is in advanced talks to open a store on Blvd Theodor Pallady, near the supermarket Real, on land that belonged to paint factory Policolor, as reported in Ziarul Financiar. Ikea entered the Romanian market in March 2007 and has one store in Baneasa, north Bucharest. The retailer registered between September 2009 and August 2010 sales of aproximately 77 million Euro - a decrease of 13 per cent on the same period in the previous year.
