Martifer gains 23 million Euro boost for Tulcea wind project

Portuguese mixed interest group Martifer has borrowed 23 million Euro from BCR - Erste to develop a 42 MW wind energy project in Babadag, Tulcea county. This is the first major lending programme to a renewable energy project announced by a Romanian bank. In 2007 Martifer concessioned a 260 hectare plot to develop 20 wind turbines with a total installed power of 42 MW power. The firm’s local partner - Eviva Nalbant - has signed the contract for the wind turbine connection with local power supplier Enel Dobrogea.
