E&Y: Romania climbs the top 10 most attractive countries for wind energy investments
For the first time, Romania ranked within the top 10 of the most attractive countries to generate investments for wind energy, according to the latest report of Ernst & Young’s “Country Attractiveness Indices”. March 2012
The company places Romania on the same ranking with Poland and Ireland and close to countries as Sweden, France and Italy. According to the report, the ranking reflects the latest investments run in Romania in wind power field, with the largest investment developed by Monsson Group, which started the construction of a wind park of 150 MW located in Northern part of Constanta county. The park called “Pantelimon” will be developed in partnership with wind power company Vestas. The general ranking of the report, comprising all the indicators for investments in renewable energy (wind, sun, geothermal and biomass) places Romania on 13th ranking worldwide.
