Christmas Tree Festival at start for its 14th edition
Salvati Copiii organization announced the start of registration interval for the 14th yearly edition of Christmas Tree Festival, the largest fund raising event in Romania.

Following 13 editions, the organization raised around 3 million Euro that have been used to support the education and social integration for 20.000 persons. From statistics, around 387.000 children with ages between 3 and 17 years and representing 12 per cent from the overall population of Romania don't access any form of education. Also, from official estimates , there are over 81.000 and even more than 350.000 according to NGOs estimates of children whose parents are currently working abroad. Another statistics study mentions that one out of ten children live in households where neither parents own a workplace.
The fund raising Gala mechanism consists in brief, from an auction and a sponsorship package for sponsors buying a Christmas tree made by famous Romanian designers. For this year, the confirmed designers are: Doina Levintza, Lena Criveanu, Stephan Pelger, Iris Serban, Rhea Costa, Malvina Cervenschi, Mihnea Ghilduș (Dizainar), Carmen Ormenişan, Anca Fetcu (Bucharest Design Center), Ramona Filip, Laura8, Anca Lungu, Alexandru Ghildus, Irina Neacsu, Andreea Badala (Murmur).
In 2013, the Chrismas trees have been auctioned with sums ranging from 700 to 6.300 Euro. The fund raising Gala event will take place on December 4 at Stejarii Country Club. The event organizing committee is represented by Andi Moisescu, Andreea Raicu, Amalia Nastase, Corina Barladeanu, Ioana Iordache, Liviu Sfrija, Tereza Munteanu.
