Eclectic interwar villa in key location
STRADA NICOLAE IORGA This eclectic 1930s villa on a side street behind Boulevard Dacia combines neo-Romanian with neo-classical architectural elements and is up for sale by real estate developer Copper Beech June 2009 - From the Print Edition
The villa is not furnished and needs revamping, which the owner intends to undertake before a sale. At present the property needs new doors and windows, floors and a fresh lick of paint. Many of the original adornments on the walls and ceiling are in good shape. There are also a series of semicircular arches on the outside, which create a secluded and private courtyard.
An original wooden staircase leads to the three top floors of the villa. Here there are stained windows with multicoloured geometrical designs.
The house has 14 rooms, two open space offices and three meeting roms and can be used either as a residence or as an office. It is equipped with central heating, but does not have air conditioning or a burglar alarm. The stone-paved interior has some green areas and trees. There is no garage inside, but parking for six cars is available in the courtyard. The basement of the house can also be turned into an underground parking space.
Inside facts:
Price: two million Euro
Built: around 1930
Total built area: 1,316 sqm
Size of the plot: 630 sqm
