Ana Hotels plans investments worth 20 million Euro
The company plans major investments in the next three years, estimated at 20 million Euro and designated to its assets in Bucharest: the complete revamping of rooms at center Bucharest-located Athenee Palace Hilton and the construction of a new hotelier wing of 70 rooms and 900 sqm conference room in the backside of Hilton hotel. 2016-06-14 12:44:18
The investments were approved by the major shareholders and they will be sustained from the funds resulted from the sale of the electric engines facility Ana Imep to Japanese group Nidec. The trading was about a package of 94.8 per cent of the shares, thus the company in Pitesti became a subsidiary of the Japanese group. In the context of this development strategy, ANA IMEP becomes a part of the division of motors for household apparats, of the Nidec Corporation.
In 2015, Ana Hotels become, after the turnover, the top ranking company in the Romanian hospitality market, according to Christine Schillings, Director General ANA Hotels. Last year, the company performed a reorganization process and invested 4 million euro in two hotels: Crowne Plaza Bucharest and Ana Hotels Sport in Brasov. This year, the company continues to invest in Crowne Plaza where, at the end of this year, it is expected to launch A Boutique Spa. At the beginning of next year, the company will also revamp the conference center.
Ana Hotels has been established by George Copos in 1996 and currently, it manages seven hospitality properties in Bucharest, Poiana Brasov and Eforie Nord. In 2015, Ana Hotels achieved a turnover of 28.3 million Euro and a net profit of 2.9 million Euro.
