Mauve pullover wrecked Geoana’s presidential hopes

Social Democratic Party (PSD) leaders have claimed that Traian Basescu won the election by inflicting a paranormal attack on opponent Mircea Geoana through the power of his pullover

In the only televised debate, Basescu and many of his supporters wore items of mauve clothing, while Basescu himself donned a distinctive mauve pullover throughout his campaign.
The colour of this sartorial weaponry created what PSD vice president Viorel Hrebenciuc called a ‘violet flame’ of destruction during the TV debate, the effect of which was to befuddle Geoana’s mind and cause him to give erroneous answers to questions.
“Please don’t take this as a joke,” Hrebenciuc added.
Colour healers believe the violet ray is a spiritual fire that restores the flow of light and energy in the body, mind and soul by transmuting negative karma. Hrebenciuc’s fear seems to be that Basescu and his cronies absorbed all the positive karma in the room through their violet clothing, while all the negative energy was shoved in the direction of the PSD.
Both PSD president Mircea Geoana and his wife Mihaela also believe he was the target of a paranormal conspiracy on live TV. “He was pure and simply paralysed,” added Mihaela. Although a sceptic, Geoana said Basescu recruited mystical spies to help him win the election. The Basescu team appears to have included Aliodor Manolea, a para-psychologist, who previously worked on an electoral campaign for Geoana.
Last year Basescu said he received the mauve pullover for his birthday on 4 November. “Mauve is this year’s colour,” he added at the time.
PSD ex-president Ion Iliescu and ex-PM Adrian Nastase dismissed their colleagues’ claims as bunkum.
