Romelectro to modernize the Smardan power station following 23 million Euro project
The association between Romelectro SA and Electromontaj SA, as a general contractor, recently won the tender organized by CNTEE Transelectrica SA for the modernization of the Smardan power station. The total value of the project works is over 23 million Euro. 2018-07-24 12:40:35
The refurbishment of the 400/110 kV Smardan station is aimed at optimizing the primary electrical system, modernizing the primary and secondary equipment, ensuring the tele control of the whole station at the level of the Telecontrol Center of the Constanta Transport Branches and the central and territorial dispatching requirements, which will lead to increasing operating safety, reducing maintenance costs, local and remote monitoring of all equipment.
The Smardan station project includes the modernization of the 400-kV station, by equipping it with new exterior type air-conditioning units and conventional equipment. Also, under this contract, the 110-kV station will be upgraded, by replacing the installations, equipment and systems, maintaining the operating scheme with two collector bars and also the 20-kV station that will be with a simple collector bar system, equipped with metallic insulated cells.
The refurbishment works will be carried out throughout 16 stages, starting with the 400kV station and will continue with the 110kV and 20kV stations, without long-term interruption of the existing installations.
