1. In an atmosphere of Asian rhythms and aromatic spices, India’s Ambassador to Romania HE Debashish Chakravarti welcomed guests to his residence in Bucharest to celebrate his country’s national day on 15 August, when India gained its independence from British rule.
2. Croatia celebrated its National Day at the Diplomatic Club. His Excellency Ivica Mastruko greeted diplomats, Croatian ex-pats and friends to a colourful and pleasant event on 27 June.
3. Ambassador of the Order of Malta in Romania, Franz Alfred von Hartig welcomed members of the diplomatic corps and select dignitaries to celebrate the National Day on 25 June at the Diplomatic Club.
4. Romania’s
Olympic Gold medallists were rewarded by Alexandrion Group with a Hoover car. The athletes had the opportunity to choose the colour of their personal car, which they can drive on the Romanian roads
5. Italian Ambassador Daniele Mancini welcomed last July Romanian friends, foreign diplomats and fellow Italians to his Bucharest residence as he said goodbye to Romania to take up a high-ranking position in Silvio Berlusconi’s Government. Daniele Mancini introduced his successor in Bucharest, HE Mr Mario Cospito, and wished him good luck.
6. During a British garden party, Ambassador of the UK Robin Barnett, outgoing head of the EC’s PHARE programme John Barker and Vicar of the Church of the Resurrection Martin Jacques auctioned off paintings, food and alcohol to raise funds for the Anglican Church in Romania.
